II. Icebreaker - Charades! Acting out different Majors.
III. Coordinator Applications DUE next Wednesday, Sept 19th at 3:30PM.
Applications are available online, or talk to an Advisor. We need
Coordinators for Activities, Community Service, Fundraising, Publicity,
Webhistorian, and if there is interest, State Convention (Fall). Get your
15 point exemption for taking on this leadership role! Decisions will be
made asap after the meeting and those chosen notified by phone or email
later that evening.
IIIa. Teacher & Staff Appreciation Dinner. Sign-up sheets (for picking
your guest) will be available next week. First come, first serve - only
one person can invite each guest. Special hand-made invites will be sent
to your Teacher/Staff, so you do *not* need to verbally invite the guest,
leave that to Brit and her crew! Dinner is on Nov 5th from 4 - 6pm. If you
want to volunteer for the creative decorating, contact Brit right away so
she can figure out when her team of volunteers best can meet on a
semi-regular basis! (This is a really fun committee, a great one for new
and old members alike!!)
IV. Explaination of Points. Most of this summary can be found online - in
the Membershp Application or the FAQ section!
V. Bake Sale on the 24th and 25th of September! Get your fundraising
points now! Points for baking (2 dozen LARGE/PALM SIZED, WRAPPED, HOMEMADE
cookies/treats = 1 fundraising point) or for manning the booth.
VI. WVC Club Day - (Note, this date has been moved to October. New info
will be given out at the next meeting.)
VII. Regional State Convention - no new news yet, but things will start
hopping asap. Sign-ups will likely have to be completed in the next 2
weeks as well. Will keep the club posted.
VIII. AGS T-shirts. Tanks are $8, Tees are $9, and sweatshirts are $20. We
have a lot of tanks, a fair amount of Tees, and maybe one sweatshirt
left. If you want a shirt and we don't have the style/size you are
interested in, please let Kara know so she can start a list. If we get
enough interest, we may place another order later in the semester.
IX. Misc: Community Service Opportunity #1 - WVC POWWOW. See Tina for
sign-up sheet and/or contact Leonore Harris (English Department) if
interested. Once on the sheet, Leonore Harris will contact you about your
3-hour shift.
Community Service Opportunity #2. Kristy Stucky is helping organize
volunteers for Capri Elementary School's Fall Festival on October 27th
from 4pm - 8pm. It's for the little kids! Shifts can be done early or late
(ie: 3 - 6, or 6 - 9) as needed. See Kristy at the meeting for more
information!
