I. Introduction (Anthony)

II. Ice Breaker (Jenny) Describe the best Halloween costume you've ever seen.

III. Social Construction of the Human Body (Roxanne) There will be a workshop in the Baltic Room on Monday November 27th from 2:00 to 4:00 PM if you're interested. It may count as an enhancement if you're taking English 1A, 1B, or 1C. IV. Website (Laura) Make sure to check the website for new pictures. There are Chevy's flyer available to print out for Chevy's night next Wednesday, an upcoming photo gallery, information about fundraising opportunities and signups, and a fundraising link.

V. Bake Sale (Dana) We still need people to bake cookies, brownies, or krispies for our sale on Tuesday November 7th and Wednesday November 8th. Remember 2 dozen cookies equals a point with a 4 dozen cookie maximum.

VI. Gobble Grams (Dana) We'll be selling Grams on November 13th-16th, 20th and 21st then delivering on the 21st and 22nd.

VIII. Chevy's Night (Dana) After the AGS meeting on November 8th we're all heading over to Chevy's for a fundraising dinner. Make sure to bring your friends and flyers with your name printed on the back to receive your fundraising points.

IX. Teacher Appreciation Dinner (Christine) The dinner is next Monday November 6th. Don't forget to look for donations at local businesses. Even an hour of your time could ensure the teachers and staff get good gifts to show them how much we care and appreciate their work. Community Service points can be earned by showing up to decorate the Baltic Room on Friday from 1-5 or by helping set up from 11 until the dinner on the 6th. (Mrs. Golaw) Make sure you let her know if you have talked to your teacher and you know he or she is coming because Mrs. Golaw might not
know yet and won't have a certificate ready for them at the Dinner.

X. Halloween Festival (Peter) AGS performed well at the festival, nabbing 3rd in the table decorating contest, 2nd in the pumpkin carving contest, and Peter placed 2nd in the costume contest.

XI. State Convention (Dr. Kindon) This year the AGS community service focus is on soup kitchens and different chapters will be competing to donate hours to these organizations. Also, the State Convention in late February but Mrs. Golaw and Dr. Kindon will be reviewing applications for the two scholarships (merit and community service) before they submit the three our chapter is allowed for the state competition.

XII. Community Service (Christine) There are three big opportunities coming up. One is the San Jose Family Shelter, where Saturday and Sunday they have lunch teams working from 12-1 and Friday 5-6:30. The next one is Martha's Kitchen which has Tuesday and Wednesday 8:30 to 11 (food prep) and 3:30 to 5 (serve/clean up) or Monday to Friday on 8:30 to 10 (unloading donations). The last is the 2nd Harvest Food Drive going on at West Valley. Every 15 cans equals a point; the bags for donations are going to be dropped off next meeting and picked up the week after that (November 15th).
